These tools were originally written to be combined with a graphical user interface called “khoros”. However, since these are entirely written in C++ and do not depend on any khoros libraries, they are useful as stand alone tools as well as included in the aforementioned Matlab toolbox, which writes data to the disc and automatically reads the results of these tools back into Matlab.
