pintXsum
PintXsum investigates the Photo-INduced Thermal eXpansion of rough SUrface Morphologies and its impact on mid IR photo-induced force microscopy (PiF-IR). It brings together the theoretical expertise of Dr. David (IFTO/ACP) and the experimental work of Dr. Täuber (LIPHT/IPC) to quantify photo-induced local heating and modified tip-sample interaction due to the modification of the force field in PiF-IR. The interplay of local mechanical, thermal and optical changes in PiF-IR is studied. PintXsum received funding from 11/22 - 10/23 by the Friedrich Schiller University Jena in the context of the profillines LIGHT and LIFE.
